Due to growth, our client, a leader in third party logistics, in the Durham Region is in need of an Operations/Distribution Supervisor to work in their warehouse facility. Our client has a very progressive environment with lots of growth opportunities. *Salary is $55k per annum plus a bonus structure. Shifts available are afternoons with opportunity for day shifts in the future.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:

Supervising warehouse staff on a day to day basis
Scheduling staff and ensuring there is proper coverage for each shift
Closely monitoring productivity levels
Managing employee performance and conducting annual performance reviews
Working in an efficient and safe manner by following Company Safety rules
Ensure all warehouse KPIs are met or exceeded
Identify process improvements along with staff training and development opportunities
Meet and exceed customer expectations regarding on-time, error free deliveries
Completing daily paperwork

Knowledge/Skills:

5+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role
Knowledge of third party logistics is a strong asset
Preference will be given to candidates with some post secondary education
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be team oriented and able to work with different personality types
Strong problem solving and decision making skills
Strong sense of urgency
